About Me
I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Amherst College. My research and teaching focus on violence and American politics, institutions and institutional change, political geography, and social networks. My current book project, entitled Arming the Body Politic: The Economic Origins of American Gun Rights, explores how the US firearms industry has both articulated and promoted the right to purchase and possess guns since the nineteenth century.
